MarkMan Impex Private Limited
(“the Company”)
incorporated under the Company Laws of India, is owned
and operated by a group of professionals. The Company
is proud to be a member of the Federation of Indian Export
Organisation (FIEO). The name “MarkMan” was
derived from the combined words “Marketing Manager”.
MarkMan has a staff of eight full time and three part
time personnel. The Company reported export sales of
USD 1.8 million for the financial year ended March 2007.
Since August 2007 MarkMan is registered with the United
States Food & Drug Administration (US FDA) as a Cosmetic
Product Establishment (No.E1002556). The Company hopes
to be ISO Certified in the future.
MarkMan’s management style and philosophies are
of modern times; offering varied services under one-roof.
We play the role of Manufacturer, Packer, Distributor,
Exporter and Importer, but not limited to Drop Shipping
and Sourcing Products.
Our concept is to provide our customers with a one-stop-shop
platform. All your requirements can be clubbed together
in small or large quantities and sent to you as a single
shipment. This method saves on your freight and the cost
of locating different manufacturers or suppliers, bank
charges borne by you for opening numerous letters of
credit, and the time and money spent on keeping track
of different delivery schedules. Besides, many manufacturers
do not handle small quantity orders. You also get a choice
of products and you have the option to choose the best
products suitable to your market.

development, labeling/packaging and establishing

holds a Degree in B.Sc., B.Ed. and M.Ed. She
started her career as a Senior School Science
Teacher in 1994. Kalpana also holds a Diploma
in Pharmacy and is registered (No. 10244) with
The Rajasthan Pharmacy Council [governed and
regulated by the Pharmacy Council of India].
Furthermore, from 2002 thru 2004 Kalpana was appointed as the Quality Controller/
Purchasing Officer with Universal Lubricants Factory (Zinol) LLC in Sharjah,
United Arab Emirates. Kalpana
brings to the Company; wealth of knowledge in ISO
Certification/Audit Procedures, Logistics and
Laboratory Testing. She is responsible for
the Domestic and International Administration of
MarkMan Impex Private Limited.

Daswani [Business Development Manager,

in B.Sc., Bachelor of Accounting and MBA (Finance).
He is a life
member and licensee of the Insurance Institute
of India. He has also completed certificate
courses (Part I & II) from The Institute
of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators,
Canada. Nick started his career as an assistant
controller in 1988 and is a resident
of Bermuda (United Kingdom Dependant Territory).
Since 1991
he gained experience in Offshore Asset and Trust
Management. In the past several years he has
been successfully involved in importing consumer
products to the West from India and China.
Mr. Daswani brings to the Company; wealth of knowledge in areas of western
markets, innovative products, pricing structures and sourcing western products
for the
Indian market. He is responsible for the Company’s business developments
in North/South America, Caribbean, United Kingdom and Western Europe.

Corporate Policies
Quality
Control: We meticulously inspect and double-check our outgoing
shipments for product correctness,
manufacturing quality and appropriate packaging.
On our own initiative we may at times include
a slightly higher number of goods to off-set any
potential shipping breakage or other risks.
However, any incurred shipping breakage is principally
the responsibility of the freight forwarder and
we highly urge you to carefully inspect your
shipment
immediately upon arrival - while the freight forwarder
is present - and immediately fill out a claims
report with the forwarder if you notice any damage
to the
outside packaging or shipment contents! Without
such a report there is no restitution for damages
whatsoever.
In any case we try to make amends if there should
be any issue arising with your shipment.
Product Origin: Our products are manufactured and
shipped directly from the manufacturing outlets
within India and are manufactured according to
the customers
order specifications.
Product
Images: Product pictures displayed are for illustration
purpose only. We supply product designs, labeling
and packaging as per the buyers specified requirements.
Fair Trade: Our
products are manufactured in accordance to
fair trade guidelines. In a nutshell, Fair
Trade
ensures that workers get a decent price for
goods produced under fair and decent conditions.
It also
means that goods are never received on credit
or "on
consignment" and suppliers and workers are paid
both in advance and immediately upon completion of
manufacture. Further criteria include gender equality,
child protection, work-place safety and health provisions,
environmental awareness and protection, improved
local village community income generation.
Minimum Order – Customisations: You
can order goods by email.
Most items are made to order and require a
manufacturing period,
which starts after
your payment is received. Currently most of
our products are shipped directly from India.
We do
have a "minimum
order" concept; however it depends on
your product selection and quantity.
For low to mid-volume quantities we apply standard
one-time processing fees for customizations
like processing custom logos or hand painted
designs.
These fees do not include the manufacture of
one or two product samples or a number of color
samples,
excluding shipping costs of samples.
We reserve the right to adjust prices according
to actual number of items ordered. That is,
if a customer
initially requests a quote for 300 items and
subsequently orders 30 items, we reserve the
right to adjust
our price to the 30 items price. Likewise if
our customer
initially enquires about 30 items and subsequently
orders 300, we will accordingly reduce the
price.
Price List: For
wholesale price indications we will provide
as per your requirements on your enquiry
to us. Please contact us with appropriate details
and we'll send you a price details. Opening
our price
lists with terms and conditions require Acrobat
Reader, if you do not have it installed we
can send prices
to you in another format, just let us know
if you experience a problem.
Price Quotes: Prices
will be quoted in United States Dollars. We
quote shipping costs and, if applicable,
transaction costs separately. Currencies, fuel
costs and shipping charges fluctuate constantly.
Actual
product and shipping prices may differ from
transaction to transaction. Please contact
us with product
and shipping details (or delivery location
and deadline)
for a firm price quotation. Please note: the
more specific your request, the better and
quicker we
can reply to you with the information you need.
Samples: We
regret that we do not entertain requests for
free samples. However, we do credit the cost
of the samples and shipping from your first
order. The Company adopted this policy in order
to eliminate administrative costs generated from
non-serious requests.
Shipping: We
ship worldwide, to just about all countries,
except some African countries which
are banned by
our local export regulatory authorities.
With all or our products originating directly
from manufacturing in India, international
shipping
forms an important cost item. This cost can
be reduced
significantly by two factors: a) time, because
the more time you have the cheaper the shipping
will
be and b) quantity, because the higher the
total shipping volume or weight, the cheaper
the shipping
costs will be per piece.
We arrange shipping as
a service to our customers who purchase our range
of products. We generally
quote shipping costs "at cost" as quoted
to us by freight forwarders. We have a number of
discount agreements with various shipping agencies.
Product Packaging: Individual product packaging serves
to protect items during shipment and facilitates
proper product storage and may serve as a point-of-sales
tool.
Standard packaging for non-ceramic items ranges
from individual item plastic wrapping to craft paper
wrapping. Optionally goods may be individually boxed.
We can also cater to specific labeling and point-of-sales
packaging needs.
Shipment
Packaging: Second level packaging (multiple
items) consists of multiply board cartons, and whenever
required consolidated in wooden or metal crates.
Product and shipment packaging varies per product
line, and standard packaging details are shown on
product pages. We may, whenever needed, use shipment
packaging configurations that are different from
those indicated. For final packaging configurations
please check with us.
Permits, Duties and Sales Tax: We currently collect
sales tax for domestic orders placed in India only.
Any permits and certificates relevant to the destination
country, import duties, value-added (sales) taxes
or other types of levies and fees, are the responsibility
of the purchaser. We can assist customers by locally
obtaining needed certificates, forms and other
documentation to facilitate any importation requirements.
Please let us know, while we can also advise based
on our experience.
Security: We do not accept online payments. Instead
we insist for Telegraphic Wire Transfer (T/T) or
Letter of Credit (L/C) for your as well as our
safety.
Payment
by “Telegraphic Wire Transfer”: We accept payments by Telegraphic Wire Transfer
for which details are outlined below. For your
orders, we require payment by direct bank transfer.
Bank transfers should be arranged by SWIFT international
transfer method with bank fees on behalf of the
sender. Please note that SWIFT is an international
transfer method that can be processed by your bank
using standard SWIFT transfer forms. It is crucial
that you correctly enter our SWIFT code. We send
you our bank details and SWIFT code together with
the invoice for your order. For SWIFT transfers,
plan about 1-3 business days for funds to be transferred.
Payment
by “Irrevocable
Letter of Credit”: We accept payment against irrevocable letter of
credit. It is a payment alternative that grants
both; our customer and us a high degree of certainty
of delivery and payment. Letters of credit are
usually reserved for larger orders, since they
carry relatively high fixed costs. In case you
are not familiar with this payment method but like
to explore it, your regular bank can furnish detailed
information.
We strictly accept Letter of Credit documents that
are;
1) Issued
by a Prime Bank
2) The document should include a Bank - to
- Bank Reimbursement Clause.
3) Advising Bank should be “Bank of Baroda.” Refer
to detailed instructions below.
On receipt of your Purchase Order, we will send
you a Proforma Invoice and your shipping details.

Shipping
Costs: For
sea and air freight shipping do bear in mind that on
a per item basis higher
quantities
are significantly cheaper to ship than smaller

Shipping Summary
Sea Freight Shipping:
Sea freight shipping is the lowest cost method
when volumes are over 1-2 cubic meters
and takes around four to six weeks. It
is often arranged by our clients through client's
shipping company.
Alternatively we can also arrange sea freight
shipping and quote you cost-insurance-freight
(CIF). Consignments
may be by full container or partial container
(partial container space by full cubic meter).
While sea
freight
seems to imply shipping by sea only, it
can actually cover the overland portion to
your inland destination
as well. Sea freight is usually delivered
to your nearest sea port. You'll need to arrange
customs
clearance and delivery to your location
from there. You can also contact an agent to
do this for you.
For sea freight we quote product prices
delivered on board ship at India's major
sea
port (Nhava Sheva)
Air Freight Shipping:
Air freight shipping is usually
arranged by us (CIF) through an air freight shipping
company, and is used for more urgent volumes over
about 50-100 kg. It takes about 3-5 days to reach
your nearest
international airport or other airport with a customs
warehouse. Similar to sea freight, you'll need to
arrange customs clearance and delivery to your
location from
there. You can clear and pick up the consignment
by yourself, or contact a forwarding agent to do
this
for you. For quite a few locations, the major courier
services are just slightly more costly than air freight,
while arrange all customs and formalities and deliver
to your doorstep.

the specific area or villages of northern Thailand
and
the golden triangle where the items/designs are
produced. All designs clients send to us for estimates
or manufacture
remain the sole property or our clients.

original content for its website, including all
photography, images, slogans, text descriptions,
packaging and
shipping configurations, page coding. We do this
exclusively in-house. All content, including photographic
materials, slogans and text descriptions, specific
